The power released by our Self-Talk is incredible. Not only do our thoughts and words create our emotions, they have the power to make us well or sick and to determine our future. It is Self-Talk that explains why someone can experience inner peace in the midst of the most wrenching experiences of life. It is also the reason a person can ignore all the positive, pleasant events occuring in his or her life and focus on a worry an become miserable. Thoughts create emotions! There is hope to change this cycle of negative thinking! It can be broken! We can experience self-control. The battleground is in our minds. If our thoughts are creating our emotions, we can change our emotions by changing our thoughts. Fix your thoughts on what is true and good and right. Think about things that are pure and lovely. Think about all you can praise God for and be glad about. Practice positive thinking and eventually it will be your only way of thinking.
